Kirsten Collins is a Canadian storyteller and musician whose work explores the intersection of fantasy, memory, and emotional healing. Blending imaginative world-building with deeply personal themes, her writing invites readers into spaces where light and shadow coexist, and transformation is possible.
She began her creative career in music, studying production at Pacific Audio Visual in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she released her debut album, Candy Pop Princess, in 2012. Her early work established a signature tone—whimsical on the surface yet layered with emotional depth.
In 2017, Kirsten expanded into fiction with The Eveline Kay Chronicles, a fantasy series that introduces a richly imagined world where innocence confronts darkness. Through characters such as Candy Pop Princess and narratives like Candy Coated Dreams, her stories explore resilience, identity, and the enduring hope of love.
Alongside her artistic pursuits, Kirsten completed a Bachelor of Science in General Science, beginning her studies at Wilfrid Laurier University and graduating from Lakehead University in 2022. This academic foundation informs the structure and discipline of her creative work.
Following a period away from writing, Kirsten returned in 2023 with renewed perspective after the birth of her son. This pivotal life experience shaped Evee’s Journey, as well as companion works including The Bruised Heart and Beneath the Smiles and Behind the Eyes. These pieces reflect a more intimate narrative voice, drawing from personal history while maintaining her signature blend of realism and imagination.
Now writing in 2026, Kirsten continues to develop her literary worlds while integrating new dimensions of motherhood, legacy, and healing. Her current work builds on established storylines while expanding into more emotionally layered and character-driven narratives.
In addition to writing, Kirsten is active in music, teaching, and community engagement. Her work is guided by a consistent purpose: to create stories that resonate on both an imaginative and emotional level, offering readers connection, reflection, and a sense of possibility.
